Francis Spufford and Anuk Arudpragasam longlisted for the Booker Prize 2021

Aitken Alexander is delighted to announce that Francis Spufford and Anuk Arudpragasam have both been longlisted for this year’s Booker Prize. Francis Spufford was nominated for his second novel LIGHT PERPETUAL (Faber), while Anuk Arudpragasam was chosen for his second novel A PASSAGE NORTH (Granta). Congratulations to both Francis and Anuk, and to all of the longlisted writers!

The 13 books on this year’s longlist were chosen by the 2021 judging panel: historian Maya Jasanoff (chair); writer and editor Horatia Harrod; actor Natascha McElhone; twice Booker-shortlisted novelist and professor Chigozie Obioma; and writer and former Archbishop Rowan Williams. The shortlist will be announced on 14th September.
