The Women of Troy by Pat Barker has battled to the top of the Sunday Times Original Fiction charts in its launch week, with the hardback earning the former Booker winner a best ever weekly sales total—in any format—in her nearly 40-year career. The first of her Trojan novels, The Silence of the Girls, was shortlisted for the Women’s Prize for Fiction, the Costa Novel Award and the International DUBLIN Literary Award. You can read more here.
