Marina Kemp nominated for the The Times Breakthrough award 2021

Marina Kemp has been nominated for the The Times Breakthrough award 2021. With her debut novel, Nightingale, Marina Kemp established herself as one of the brightest young novelists of her generation. Nightingale follows 24-year-old Marguerite, a young nurse who arrives in the south of France to care for the dying patriarch of a wealthy family. The South Bank Sky Arts Awards will take place on Sunday, July 18, at The Savoy, WC2 and will air on Sky Arts on Thursday July 22 at 9pm, subject to government restrictions. The new series of the South Bank Show, exploring the work of the breakthrough nominees, begins on Sky Arts and Now on June 24.
